This annual initiative aims to celebrate individuals and groups who go above and beyond in and for protected landscape—from large-scale nature recovery to grass-roots community efforts seeking to improve access

(Winner) North Yorkshire Council Community Award 2023: Caring for the Environment

Sustainable Swaledale won the North Yorkshire Council Community Award 2023: Caring for the Environment, including £1,000 prize money which was put towards ongoing projects. The ‘Caring for the Environment’ award was a brand new category introduced in 2023, so we were grateful to be its very first recipients.
