Christmas recycling: what you can recycle, and how

Christmas is a lovely occasion, but one that can generate a lot of waste – here is the Sustainable Swaledale guide for how to make best use of your leftover Christmas food, stationery and decorations.

The Christmas Dinner 

Having enjoyed the Christmas dinner, the washing up and recycling awaits.  The following grid, compiled with the assistance of Richmond District Council staff is a guide to what can be recycled or reused.

* Save used postage stamps for the RNIB

Before you recycle your envelopes, cut out the postage stamp leaving a 1cm edge around the stamp.  Stamps  can be left at the Reeth Post office, Muker Stores and Swaledale Wollens.
