Living without single-use plastic

We consume vast amounts of single-use plastics nowadays, using them for everything from brushing our teeth to packaging our food. The trouble is, they persist in the environment for hundreds of years, polluting our rivers and seas and threatening marine life.

The Marine Conservation Society have produced a useful booklet (click for link) with lots of tips for ways in which to reduce the amount of single-use plastics that you consume.

They are also suggesting that everyone tries going for a month without using any of these plastics (they were suggesting July, but we’re a little later for that!). Go on, give it a go…
